Who says simple can’t make you a chic? Styling effortlessly may seem too easy for others because you only need the basic wardrobe items, perhaps a short and a tank top will do. But you have to take it cautiously especially when you wanna get a dashing or casual-Friday-night look. And that’s where the tough part enters.
From where I stand, I find styling with less effort a bit hard especially when you want to come up with a certain look that will drag girls on their knees. When I wear something plain, I make it sure it ain’t boring. I make it sure that it has that pa-‘wow’ effect to the people passing by me. Your sophisticated aura says it all. One way to achieve it is by walking down the streets of metro and flaunting your chill outfit with zero uncertainty on yourself. A percent of doubt is very naked to one’s eye. It’ll be easy to see how tense and uncomfortable you are with your outfit.
When you want to slay the “woke up like this” pose, you better do it with something neutral and bright in sight.
I wore an oversized short sleeve striped t-shirt from GU Japan that I bought a year ago and paired it with textured jogger pants from Zara. In my book, it’s a great way to match it up with your morning routine such as having coffee or going on a walk to hunt for breakfast. It compliments the color and radiates yourself expressing yourself as a morning person.
Beat the heat, but look good doing it too! I pulled out a beige white button-down shirt from my closet and paired it with white shorts because I knew it’ll be white-hot outside considering the temperature here in the Philippines. But it lacks something, hmmm…
I thought about being creative because that’s what I do, and that’s what y’all should be doing. Unlike women, our layering pieces and clothes are limited, therefore we need to put a little creativity in putting together the pieces that are available.
Ding ding ding! Uhuh! Good thing I have my denim jacket that contrasts my shirt and shorts. Plus, the cap and shades. These are some essential wardrobe items that one must have in order to bring out that ‘wow’ effect I was talking about.
Am I the only one who’s in love with neutral colors? It’s just so aesthetically simple yet has that “boogsh” effect haha ibang effect naman lol. You can never go wrong with black & white.
I wore marbled t-shirt from Cosmic Concept Manila and paired it with black sweat shorts from Uniqlo. It went very well with the specs. There are just some minor considerations, but you’ll prolly have that swag in no time.
I don’t put too much layers on my outfit because it’s frustratingly hot here in the Philippines. Two is the maximum quantity of layering pieces I add in my outfit. But for here, didn’t add any because it’s hot already and besides it looks great without adding another layer.
So, I stroll late at night on the streets of Makati which means it’s a little bit windy so got myself something to keep me warm. I made it look plain but with a ‘holy cow’ expression on people’s faces. Then, I wore my cap and specs to look dapper. You could try the same.
Wear a long-sleeve for a casual night-out and preferably pair it with something that contrasts the color of your top. Put a nice cap on, that is if you’re a cap man, plus your glasses and you’re good to go.
